Sometimes, a store unexpectedly comes along and it becomes your whole personality. I literally haven’t stopped talking about Splendid since I walked through its doors last week. It’s where I got my lovely Mother’s Day haul (thanks, kids and dad!) and each and every item I have put on is a miracle. It’s SOFT. It’s STYLISH. It’s a COMPLIMENT MAGNET. Every single garment. I haven’t hit a payload like this in a loooong time.
Welcome to the world of “casual polish” - the style that is Splendid’s trademark. The clothes are beautiful, on the more natural side (cashmere, regenerative cotton, Tencel, etc), and most importantly - the prices are STELLAR for what you are getting. These are durable, feel like a dream (Supersoft technology that has a distinctive “liquid” drape and DOESN’T PILL), and are incredibly well-constructed. I cannot rave enough! I bought a mix of sweaters, activewear, tops, bottoms, for all seasons - the works. Below I’m featuring items that will transition Spring through Fall, and I think that you’ll love them. They have an array of colors, but their cream/ivory collections are particularly gorgeous, so I’m being a bit aesthetic today. ENJOY.
The softest and most elegant turtleneck shell ever. Seriously, it’s rare to find clothes that you feel just as good sleeping in as going out in, and Splendid does it right. Everything I’m featuring today, especially the top above, feels sumptuous and chic at the same time. Comfort and style: unlocked. I love this as styled, but I’d also pair it with pastel trousers and a tassel pendant for a dreamy look.
This fringed sweater is a one-click must for me. Fringe is huge trend right now, but this sweater makes it so accessible that it becomes timeless. Again, soft-as-can-be, but with a fun edge that can transition this piece from day to night. I’d love to wear it with a skirt and trendy high-vamp pumps and take it out on the town for a date night.
A positively scrumptious feeling quarter-zip? Say less. As both an English teacher and a Yoga teacher, I need garments that do double-duty. I’d be thrilled to wear this to stretch and move, but also pair with some cute wide-leg jeans and raffia sandals out with friends. Versatility in the form of a top. Done.
The literal best joggers on earth? Yes. Real talk - I struggle with athleisure pants. I rarely find a fit that makes me feel comfortable, on-trend, and right for my figure (oh, let’s not talk about body image today) but these are EVERYTHING. I feel both confident and snuggly in these joggers and I may as well buy them in every color. Right now I have navy and they give me lifffffe. Throw on a cute baseball cap and stack of bangles and you’re good to go.
The summer pant you will live in, period. These pants have every hallmark of breezy warm-weather style. Light, airy, wide, drawstring. They check each and every box. Throw on a cute tank, maybe wrap the matching top around your shoulders and a pair of leopard sneakers? The easiest outfit - go anywhere, do anything.
These eyelet shorts will be in heavy rotation all summer long. They’re definitely more on the dressy side, especially with the top, but can you imagine how cute they’d be with a contrasting color quarter zip, like the navy one? Wear it to the beach for a bonfire with a hair scarf and some shell jewelry and wait for the compliments to roll in.
